You’re absolutely right .. one chouldn’t change who they are for anyone but sometimes it’s jusy easier

Interesting; I just wrote a little poem (elsewhere) re: how I’ve become a robot or a simpleton as a result of being “changed” by “the blade” of CBT and a medication I’m on. Also I’ll be forfeiting my driver’s license. Maybe you’ve heard “Brain Damage” by Pink Floyd?
You raise the blade
You make the change
You rearrange me till I’m sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There’s someone in my head but it’s not me
It’s also odd that I rather volunteered for all this because the old beliefs I held weren’t “working.”
